Board of Directors Self-Evaluation

Individual board director self-evaluations enable directors to reflect on their own performance and identify areas for improvement. Self-evaluations are non-invasive in nature and are designed to educate and promote candor. Similar to our CBE Board Evaluation, the CBE Director Self-Evaluation is a tool for increased board awareness and education.

As with all the CBE questionnaires, evaluations, and training tools, CBE can simply convert your organization's existing materials to a more flexible and efficient governance platform or work with your governance professionals to design a new questionnaire closely tailored to the unique aspects of your organization.

CBE is also available to meet with the client to present the report in person and for additional consulting services.

    CBE’s Director Self-Assessment provides directors with an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of their own competencies. Board members are asked to rate themselves on a ten-point scale.

    The open-ended section allows directors to provide additional comments regarding their performance.

    The result of the survey is a high-value, written report that provides the Board with the information necessary to conduct a thorough review of each director's performance.
